One of Europe’s largest airlines, Lufthansa, announced its partnership with Unbright blockchain start up and its plans to award the best developers on Hackathon that takes place at Pillar Unconference 2018, says Bitcoinist. Unibright offers blockchain technologies for business purposes on template-based. Hackthon participants are going to use Unibright solutions and no coding needed, all they need to do is to use templates. Lufthansa sets real life tasks for participants. They will need to create blockchain-based solutions for include asset life cycles of planes and equipment, the airline’s and its partner’s loyalty program, voucher management and even seat and flight booking management systems. Participants will get free Vilnius – Frankfurt air tickets from Lufthansa where the workshop is taking place afterwords. Dr. J?rg Liebe, Senior Director Digital Innovations Hub Airlines and Airline Products at Lufthansa, says that blockchain is typically used to attract attention but the airline ?prefers to make real use of it?.
