EOS uses a special “black list rule” which prevents compromised accounts from transferring money. However, this time, the hacker managed to deceive EOS community. Huobi crypto currency exchange posted a statement in Telegram, saying that the blacklisted account was revealed, reports Cointelegraph. According to the statement, this account was connected with an anonymous hacker who managed to steal money from a previously hacked account. Then the hacker transferred 2,09 million EOS ($7,7 million) to the exchange. As revealed, security system was surpassed due to failure update of “black list” of EOS block producers. |
