The Prover startup presented two products that could confirm authenticity of a recorded event using blockchain technology. For example, the Prover Swype ID application works with videos taken on a smartphone’s camera, and Prover Clapperboard is able to guarantee reliability of a video recording from any external digital cameras that do not have the Internet connection. The MVP of both products can be found on the official website. According to the developers, the solutions ensure reliability of a video by checking it for presence of cuts, montage and other forgeries. Moreover, the guarantee of authenticity of a video-evidence will allow to rely on it for legal, financial and management decisions. The technology not only confirms the fact of video recording on a real camera, but also that the shooting was made in a strictly defined time period — all the timestamps are stored in the blockchain using the Prover technology and can be checked quickly. If the system confirms authenticity of a file, it generates a certificate that can be used as an access key to the corresponding transaction blocks containing hash and Swype ID. According to Ivan Pisarev, the co-founder of Prover, the new technology can be applied in all sectors where it is crucial to know the truth: insurance, security, medicine, law, certified agreements, micro-loans, the KYC, journalism, etc. Note that, from 31 January to 30 March 2018, the project has conducted the ICO, which has attracted investments in the amount of $7.25 million. Currently, the company is looking for clients to implement pilot projects. In February, the Russian TVzavr company, as a part of the 68th annual Berlin International Film Festival, presented the platform of decentralized distribution of the movie content MoviesChain. |
