The American technology giant IBM received a grant of $738 thousand from the authorities of the state of Delaware to develop a prototype of a corporate business projects accounting system based on blockchain, writes Delawareonline. The state will use a prototype developed by IMB to determine how blockchain can help businesses registered in the region. Thus, Delaware authorities seek to provide legal and regulatory stability for the distributed ledger technology. Supporters of the blockchain in Delaware argue that the security of technology will allow the state to reduce filing fees, so the region can become a favorable place for business development. Deputy counsellor of state Christopher Knight compared the role of IBM with an architect who creates a skyscraper design before construction. According to Knight, this blockchain system will allow the region to avoid mistakes that due to incorrect planning make other states when implementing technological projects. We shall remind, earlier it became known that IBM will become a technological partner of the Australian government in the sphere of application of blockchain, and will launch a free educational course about blockchain in India. |
