The Opera web browser will be the first popular web browser to add a built-in Ethereum wallet. This was announced today by the company. The wallet, originally available via the Opera browser and currently limited to a private beta, is intended to provide users with “friendly and easy” access to decentralized applications (dApps) such as CryptoKitties and AirSwap, as well as to a storage for ETH and tokens based on Ethereum technologies. The company has long been an adherent of user privacy. It even integrated the VPN into the Opera browser. The company has stated that this commitment has expanded to the development of a wallet for cryptocurrencies. The wallet also supports progressive web apps (PWA) support, allowing dApp developers to create web-dApps without the need to build-in a wallet into the app itself. |
