After the success of crypto game CryptoKitties, Major Baseball league announced the launch of its own game on Ethereum blockchain, says Yahoo Finance. The game is called MLB Crypto Baseball allows you to sell and purchase unique avatars involving some popular moments in baseball history. The game developer is blockchain company Lucid Sight works in the gaming industry and just entered into a license agreement with MLB. Kenneth Gersh also added that MLB started negotiating with Lucid Sight at the end of 2017 when CryptoKitties game was launched. He hopes that the game to bring new young audience to the stadiums since the amount people coming to the games went down last year. In March 2018, CryptoKitties creators finished first round of venture financing and raised $12 million. |
