The partnership with Columbia University in a move aimed to boost blockchain application development and education initiatives. The center is located in the Manhattan campus of Columbia University in New York City and was opened on Tuesday. This center is going to incubate blockchain applications through a combination of academic and technical expertise. A dedicated committee comprised of both Columbia faculty members and IBM research scientists are announcing the review of proposals for blockchain “curriculum development, business initiatives and re-search programs” later this year. John H. Coatsworth, Columbia University provost, stated that he ex-pects that this partnership “significantly advance scholarship and ap-plications” especially when technology is implemented. In addition, blockchain industry development is boosting right now and a lot of companies are financing universities to speed up the aware-ness and understanding of the technology. |
