Blockchain start up Provenance got investment from Peter Gabriel, former Genesis frontman, according to press release of the company of July 18. They also named other investors such as Working Group Capital Fund, Digital Currency Group, Merian Ventures and Plug and Play. The total amount of investment remains unknown. London-based start up Provenance is developing blockchain solutions for food transportation. The funds are going to be use to ?improve customers trusts for food industry?. The company aims to implement the solutions into 1000 food companies by 2025. We note that in 2016, The Co-op Food in partnership with Provenance began testing the blockchain solution for seafood logistics and full transportation to stores and restaurants. Last year Provenance got into the top three of Top 50 Blockchain Startups 2017 by CEX.io Provenance experts also developed Ethereum based app that allows you to track all the way of the product by scanning QR-code. |
