Coinbase has launched a new service for the provision of primary brokerage services and has already attracted a hedge fund, which has more than $ 20 billion. The hedge fund has chosen not to disclose information about itself. Primary brokerage (Prime-brokerage) is a package of services that is usually provided to hedge funds by investment banks, and includes operational support, clearing, settlement of transactions and risk management. Prime broker Coinbase will allow hedge funds to borrow funds from the exchange on bail to carry out operations on different crypto-sites: thus, investment companies will not have to deal with cryptocurrency wallets and private keys, ensuring a certain level of security of traded digital assets. |
