Coinbase has entered into a new partnership that will allow customers from Europe and Australia to spend their digital currencies in major retail chains, including Nike and Uber. Coinbase has become a partner of WeGift, a FinTech startup from London that will allow its users to withdraw digital currencies into gift cards and apply them to more than 120 retail networks including Uber, Amazon and Tesco. The advantage, as WeGift explains on its website, is free transaction along with an average bonus of 5% to the gift card after converting virtual currencies from user’s Coinbase account. |
