A bank in Zurich will work with digital money which were accepted as payment or earned with the help of mining. The growth of popularity of cryptocurrencies and high demand for them made Swiss bank Maerki Baumann start accepting digital money. The bank won’t offer the clients cryptocurrency investments, but will provide experts who can consult everyone who gets interested. At the moment, Maerki Baumann follows development of the market and regulation of the industry. The bank representatives noted that it is not recommended to invest a lot in digital money and that they are not suitable for long-term investments because of volatility. Maerki Baumann is the second Swiss bank which has started to use cryptocurrencies. Previously, Hypothekarbank Lenzburg provided accounts for fintech companies connected with blockchain and cryptocurrencies. |
