Chinese mining company Ebang who controls more than 9,2% of global market of crypto currency mining equipment is planning to produce no less than 400 000 new devices this year. According to company’s financial report, Ebang sold about 159 000 items in 2017 and about 309 000 in the first half of 2018. The total number of miners sold in 2018 is not revealed, but the company claims that its profit reduced considerably in Q3, last year. This data matches the results of other mining companies who also feel consequences of “crypto winter”. However, the profitability drop didn’t influence the business much, the company is planning to produce at least 400 000 new miners this year – two times more than it sold in 2017 and, probably, this number matches the performance of 2018. |
